About TikTock What If

TikTock What If is a cartoon science channel where Tik, a time-jumping explorer with a clock inside his glass dome, and Byte, a paper-plane drone, follow wild "What If?" questions minute by minute, year by year.

What we make

Each episode takes one huge question, like what if the internet shut down forever?, and walks through it as a timeline. Minute 1. Hour 1. Day 1. Year 1. A hundred years later. Each stop shows a real piece of science, history or engineering, so you learn how the world actually works while watching it fall apart (and usually put itself back together).

Meet the crew

Tik is our host: a round, teal explorer with a clear glass dome for a head and a brass clock ticking inside it. When the clock hands spin, Tik jumps through time. Byte is a pocket-sized paper-plane drone who talks in rustles and chirps and can refold into props, from banknotes to letters.

How we check facts

Our premises are imaginary, but the facts inside them are not. We use public sources such as international agencies, industry data and published research, and we label speculation clearly. Spotted a mistake? Tell us and we'll fix the article.

Every video, written out
